Security on Northern Ghana Phase III (SING 3) Launched

The third phase of the Security on Northern Ghana was successfully launched in Jama, a Farming community in the Bole Municipality.

As Part of its effort to promote peace and unity among Host and Minority communities, NorthCode Ghana with Funding from the Foreign Commonwealth and Development office and sponsored by Star Ghana Foundation, successfully launched phase III of the project by engaging with community Members on Reducing Natural Resource-induced Vulnerabilities, Radicalization and promoting integration of Fulbe into Host communities in Savannah Region.

TINGA community

The project is expected to increase awareness among the youth and to engage mining- Farming communities in the Savannah Region of the risks of Radicalization and recruiting by VEOs.

The 8 communities include; Jama, Tinga, Maluwe, Wakawaka, Mandari, Chache, Gbenfu and Kilanpobille.

Leading the Team, Chief Cletus Zume, The Director for Northcode Ghana expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the communities for their warm reception.

According to him, the people have demonstrated that they are willing to dialogue to resolve the numerous Farmer-header conflicts in our modern society.

Chief Cletus Zume encouraged Host communities to embrace the new dawn, by engaging with the right stakeholders to get the right results in our communities.

He further stated that peace is the bedrock of Development, so residents Must take up the challenge and make themselves agents of peace in their communities to attract potential investors.
