Who We Are

Coalition for Development of Northern Ghana (NORTHCODE-Ghana) is a Ghanaian non- governmental organization registered with the Registrar General’s Department of Ghana under the Companies Act 1963 (Act 179) with registration number CG006822018 and Tax Identification Number (TIN) C0010324968.

The organization works to improve the environment, lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable, disadvantaged and excluded in Northern Ghana. NORTHCODE-Ghana places special focus on working alongside poor women, children and local communities because, equipped with the proper resources, they have the power to contribute towards alleviating poverty and diseases of societies at large.

The extremely vulnerable with least economic and social opportunities are at the heart of NORTHCODE- Ghana’s community-based efforts to improve agriculture production and value chains, market systems development and food security, promote gender equity, promote biodiversity conservation and livelihoods development and reinforcement, expand economic opportunities and protect natural resources.

Vision

A Northern Ghana in which all manner of people including women, men, children and all vulnerable groups in all locations have access to sustainable, equitable and inclusive development.

To strengthen the capacity of women, men, children and all vulnerable groups and their communities in Northern Ghana to participate effectively in the decision making processes as responsible citizens for the accelerated development of the area through the stimulation, facilitation, support and provision of relevant resources.
